Cooley Landing is a 9-acre peninsula at the end of Bay Road. For a long time, East Palo Alto leaders and residents have wanted to open Cooley Landing to the public. Nestled behind the Palo Alto Airport hides a gem of an outdoor opportunity for all ages; the EcoCenter in Palo Alto Baylands. This public nature center can be the jumping off point to the Cooley Landing Trail Loop.
The trail is on the San Francisco Bay Trail to more than 350 miles of trails that circle the bay at East Palo Alto area. The trail come and back between the Cooley Landing and Facebook Head Quarter, approximately 6 miles. The trail is surrounded by the Don Edwards San Francisco Bay National Wildlife Refuge's Ravenswood Ponds.
