[This post is only for the citizens of the United States.] You owe $51,411.
How much you owe the government! Not in taxes based on your income, but in money the government has spent that we, the citizens, have to pay back. The total for every man, woman and child in the US is (as of yesterday) $51,411.
Yesterday we all owed $16,172,105,009,032. Today it has increased by $2,736,238,850. That is almost $3 billion dollars in 24 hours - or $7 dollars more you now owe - $51,417! - at the present rate the government is putting you in debt by $2,555 per year.
It isn't the Democrats, it isn't the Republicans - it's both of them. You have to prepare yourself for what this means.
That is your portion of the National Debt. I have a twenty one years old boy, he owes $51,411, each of us owes that amount of money, every man, woman and child in the United States.
Why do I bring this up? It isn't based on politics, it is based on the fact that we all have to plan on how we are going to meet that obligation.
For most of us that is more than average person earns in a year.
That means, regardless of who you vote for, you are going to have to pay that money, one way or another.
