Starting from the base of the Sea to Sky Gondola, the Sea to Summit Trail rises through the lower sections of the Stawamus Chief and Shannon Falls Provincial Park Trails and continues up what was once an inaccessible route through beautiful forest to the top of the Sea to Sky Gondola. Views of Howe Sound, Sky Pilot and the surrounding peaks abound throughout. A three to five hour intermediate hike climbing just over 900 metres, the Sea to Summit Trail is definitely a must do.
.
Access is via the Basecamp parking lot near the bottom of the lift. Follow the marking to the Chief Trail and then turn right onto the Upper Shannon Falls Trail and continue up to the summit. Variations include finishing with the Upper Sea to Summit Trail or the Shannon Basin Loop. The best part…sitting down after your hike up to enjoy a cold beverage on the deck while soaking in the views of Howe Sound and the Coast Mountains.

"Today Katy took us to this once in a lifetime experience of exploring glacier ice caves! We hiked up to Iceberg Lake via the 19 Mile Creek trail. It was a 14-mile hike with an elevation gain of 3,477 ft.
The Iceberg Lake sits below Rainbow Glacier and Rainbow Mountain 7592 ft, and remains partially frozen deep into the summer. The 19 Mile Creek Trail is scenic and climbs through a beautiful forest. We saw a lot of mushrooms and ate plenty of blueberries. The hike was moderately challenging until we reached the meadow. From the meadow, the final push up to Iceberg Lake was steep and difficult as we climbed a boulder field with a lot of loose rocks. But it was so worth it for the unforgettable experience and views."

I used some photos and comments from Lingyu Lyz Zhang's and Katherine Christie's photos they shared FaceBook and Google photos. Katherine Christie led this hiking and thank her!
